Write one paragraph each for why Jack and the Giant both deserve our sympathy.
Jack
I symphatize with Jack because it was not entirely his fault that he had to steal three times from the Giant. This is because he had not enough money to get sufficient food for him to eat. He lives with his widowed mother and his only cow, Milky-White, which he traded for the five magical beans. He also did not trespass the Giant's home because the beanstalk accidentally led him there and it was the Giant's wife too that allow him in. Jack was hungry at the moment and he was craving for the lavish food that the Giants have in their house. Instead of stealing, Jack could also at least work hard to earn his food for him and his widowed mother. Hence, I symphatize with Jack.
Giant
I symphatize with the Giant because his belongings have been frequently stolen. Jack had stolen the Giant's belongings each time he comes over to ask for food. His greed for food had made the Giant's wife lie to the Giant to protect Jack from being eaten as food for the Giant. The Giant had lost his things without him knowing that Jack had been the culprit all the while. However, in the end, the Giant found out it was Jack and chased him out of his house and down the beanstalk. Due to unfortunate events, the Giant died because he was trying to catch a thief. Therefore, I symphatize with the Giant.

What have you learnt from this lesson?
I have learnt from this lesson that impressions are formed by the appearance or the image of that someone, by how the person speaks and thinks and also their actions. First impressions can also be formed by the background of that person and the relationship the person has with others. I also learned from this lesson the similarities and the differences between the Batman and the Joker. Although both of them are law breakers, their intentions are totally different and I know how to tell why when you look at a character, you can tell straight away if he or she is a hero or a villain.
Do you sympathize with the Joker?
No i do not symphatize with the Joker. This is because he has tricked his fellow minions into believing that they are going to share the stolen money among one another. However, with Joker's crafty and mysterious attitude, he had killed all his followers and got all the stolen money all to himself. He was just using them to make his goals easier to achieve.
From the quote, "I took Gotham's white knight and I brought him down to our level. It wasn't hard. You see, madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little push!" specifically tells us that the Joker will do anything at all to get what he wants and what he wants is to rule Gotham City.
The Joker displays an evasive and implacable character. From this analysis, the Joker is someone whom many is afraid of and judging by the look of his appearance, I can tell that he is not the hero. Hence, I do not symphathesize with the Joker.
